Cottage Country Connection

Norma (pictured here with volunteer, Diane) smiled and told me she’d be stuck at home without Community Care’s Transportation service. She has used it often since she registered in 2005 for shopping and other appointments. Norma finds the fee ($.40 per km) reasonable and the volunteers very courteous. They’ll open doors, help when needed and share lots of laughs. Diane reflected those thoughts, noting that volunteering provides an amazing opportunity for friendship and the satisfaction of knowing that she is helping, “clients make my day”. Every driver is registered with excellent references and clear criminal and driving records. If you would like to volunteer, access service, or share your comments, please call a Community Care office in your neighbourhood.
