Outdoor Fire pits – Gas

Each month Michele answers your questions, or chooses her own topic about fireplaces, wood stoves, outdoor fire pits  & proper usage of these appliances.

Question: Is it safe to use a propane or natural gas fire pit while there is a fire ban on?

Answer: Gas fire pits & fire tables are a clean & convenient alternative to wood burning fire pits & are safe to use even during a fire ban, although it’s always a good idea to double check with your particular municipality. These fire pits are a controlled fire & when you are done at the end of the evening you simply turn them off – no smoldering coals to worry about!

Enjoy your cool summer evenings around the fire with peace of mind.
